Hearing 1 more success story of a gal who has the same condition as me, who wasn't given a cerclage (FYI, a cerclage is a stitch for the cervix) and managed to carry the baby to full term. So motivated! I must and I will too!
Updates on our Reno.
It's completed like 95%. The 5% of minor minor touchups like the workers damaged abit of the wall, cleaning up of the chengal wood was still not done despite telling our ID 1 plus week ago. He never contacted us but it's okay, cause we will WAIT for him to contact us, unless he doesnt want his balance payment of 1000 plus dollars which is totally fine with us.
Our fridge came last week. It's a 2 door Mitsubishi fridge in Graphite Grey.
And Darren went over to jaga our store room racks installation.

Sofa and bed is coming in on May 29th!

Thanks for all the encouragement!
Now getting really used to the "house arrest"
our home is almost done! and the new shopping center at Tampines is opened!
It's like there are so much things happening but i couldnt go out and participate in all of these. But it's okay, i still have my right hand man to take pictures for me to admire my new house all day hee.
Lights are up...

our cove lighting in dining room and the red earth colour.

Our living room colour..it's more to mocca kinda colour tone

Lbox is done too

Wawa's room light
it features the 12 horoscope on the glass

Bedroom 2

Our comfort area, throw a few cushions and you can have a leisure read or surf the net with the laptop table by the window.

The feature wall covering the bomb sheltar which is not completed yet.

So we are left with chengal wood for our balcony and platform for the bay windows before all furniture can be in.
Originally, we planned to move in April, but now it is impossible with my condition like this. We will only move in after I deliver and after wawa's first month. Hopefully in July!

Dolled up for Keira's birthday..

Dat's the size of my tum tum now! belly button pooping out aredi

people were surprised that i can still wear jeans.. but nope, they are MATERNITY JEANS from old navy! love them to bits. Cheap and good!
Let's see...
Here's our Lbox and false ceiling

we bought these stools over the weekend.. the white one! they dont have black.. too bad

Finally found my long lost pillow case which i bought in BKK over a year ago =__=

Darren loves this dining table..but i think it's abit small. It's pretty space saving though since all the chairs follow the contour of the table.

Busy busy weekend!
So what did we do.. we went to Keira's 1st bday party =) hee hee
she is really adorable in her little frilly dress.
Went over to check out the status of the renovation and our false ceiling and light box are up. Although there are still some mistakes that the electrician have not rectified, i guess in time, it will be.. anyway i'm taking things easier now.. no need to rush anymore lah..I doubt we will be in time to move in end March and it's not a good time to move in between end March and mid April so we should be moving in end April instead.
Accomplished loads of things this weekend.
We...
checked out store room racks
checked out dining and balcony lights (sort of decided which ones to get)
bought our bathroom accessories like towel racks etc
bought our fridge at the IT show
bought stools at barang barang...
and I just started a spreadsheet for our purchases to keep track of their delivery date and the cost of each item. To date, we have spent about 10k on furnishings, curtains and lights.
A new house really costs alot of money although we have been trying very hard to keep everything simple. Some of the things i try to order online to keep the cost down.
Luckily for us, mummy is sponsoring our TV, mother-in-law is sponsoring our fridge and our aunt is giving us a washing machine.
So touched.. =)
Photos tmr! too tired now.

Our Renovation finally started!
Wiring of Lights are almost done except for a few changes here and there.

Next will be false ceiling and our L box.
We finalized the colours of our rooms too. It was quite a headache as I couldnt make up my mind but I was satisfied with the colours i chose. Overall, i prefer a darker and earthy tone of living room to make it cosy and maybe more vibrant colours for my Master bedroom.
These are the colours we chose.
MBR

Wawa's room
I have decided not to have blue ceiling but white ceiling for wawa's room. And it will be painted in a pale yellow so that it looks like meadow. hee

Guest Room or Study Room

Dining Area

There's no colour simulation of our living room as the colour is pretty new.
Feels so good to have a place to call my own. Can do whatever I like to the walls and nobody cares whahahah
So looking forward *grins*

Seriously in need of more moo-lahs
we just bought our lights yesterday night.
All decided in less than 45 mins and mostly by me. =___= cos Darren was jar-garing the car.
But I must say we had a pretty good deal, maybe will go back on Saturday to take pictures of what we bought. Very simple lights for those places that we are not particular..still in search of a nice dining light and balcony light.
We bought 13 downlights (OSRAM)
1 MBR with floral motif
1 horoscope light for BB room
1 rectangular light for Bedroom 2
2 hamburger lights for yard and bomb sheltar
1 square light (super normal) for kitchen
2 toilet lights
for $748.
Still need more money to spend on some toys for baby.
I need to dio TOTO. =(

We finally got our house keys!!!
yay! =)

it was quite a long wait but well worth it, now i'm looking forward to the renovation. Like most new HDB flats, our new flat came with a few minor defects. Eg, parquet not done properly or there's gaps between the balcony door and the living room. But we will report those defects to the management and hopefully they will do it within 1 week after cny!
What I love about our love nest
1) we are located on the 3rd highest floor and it's very breezy!!
2) i lurve the super big balcony where i will be able to grow plants and chill out with dar dar
3) great location at tampines! with IKEA and COURTS just 5 mins drive away and 3 shopping centers within 10 mins walking distance
4) i lurve the multistorey car park! there's lift in each block to bring us straight to our level, just like a condo. For lazy people like me hee hee
5) most importantly, it's me and dar and wawa's future HOME!
What I dont really like about our house
1) the bedrooms are pathetically small. My current bedroom = to their 2 bedrooms
2) the kichen oso very small.. but i doubt i will cook often so it's okay haha
Our living room and the balcony

Darren checking carefully for defects

the view from our house, not much view but still it's a great place to relax

the rooms. 2 bedrooms and 1 MBR

the toilet with lights installed already

the freaking small kitchen entrance

Looking forward to this saturday as our ID will be coming with us to view the place and finalize the designs! hee
We will be looking at modern and simple design plus some DIY wall decals and maybe wall paper to decorate the place

we bought alot of things over the weekend.
We decided to forgo the TV feature wall in our reno quote as it was too expensive. Instead, we spent it on the sofa, TV console, bed frame and a nice bean bag. There was a promotion and the package offered was pretty decent
Looking really forward to our new house.
The smaller part of the sofa has rollers and can swivel around as one wishes.. =)

we really love it as it's pretty unique. Very "clubbing" style hor..

TV console, we ordered a white one.

and the red bean bag which is so comfy.
No photos for the bedframe but it's black and red as well. Maybe our colour theme will be towards this 2 colours. heez

It's been raining these few days.
Cool weather is finally here.

Alot of mosquitoes around my house recently and they always love sucking blood from my face.
ARGggggh!
It must be the rainy weather which made them easier to breed.
It's good to have a drizzle sometime in this hot, humid country of ours but Not everyday! haizz. hope the rain will stop soon and won't dampen the xmas spirits many are having.
What I am up to these days..
This... will keep me away from Orchard for at least... hmm... 3 months hopefully.
Kudos to Dias who gave me this software program. hoho!
and who is Dias you may ask, oh he's my future neighbour haha. just got to know him and his wife through the Premiere E group. =)
This is a really POWDERFUL tool for interior design!
I am SO INTO interior design now hahah.. for whatever reasons. You can just build a bungalow and decide the kind of doors, windows, wallpaper..etc.
damn boliao you may thing, since my house will only be here in another 2 years!?!
Oh yah, I dont' live in a bungalow but it's good to design and nice to look at rightzz..hee hee.
My future house layout heez, should be going down to HDB soon to settle the loan and other miscellaneous.

Going to turn this layout into...

no la, this is not the style I like, i prefer contemporary and chic, clean and simple.
This software can even let us visualize how it will look like when the lights are on, and when the lights are off.
*gasp*
Right now, my version just looks TOTALLY BARE

I'm seriously addicted.
Creative warehouse sale starts tomorrow and hopefully can get Darren some nice stuff for Xmas!
Tis the season to be jolly, falalala lalalala.

to continue my exam preparations...
had a long day today, went to 2 wedding events and was really glad that i went.
Had a good catch up with ex-colleagues at Yeow Ming's wedding lunch at Merchant Court. Brandon's wedding dinner at Hilton was really sweet and nice too, the planning, host, gown and the food was good =D

Bet i ate too much yesterday and now not feeling a little well.. getting a bit sick..

Starting to read alot of interior related magazines and online forums where people post their pictures of thier home. Although the premiere will come fully furnished with tiles, bathroom and everything done, i guess minor renovations will still be necessary, like more wardrobes (YEAH YEAH!! for me for me!) and balcony? , and not to forget a feature wall to cover the bomb sheltar.
Really enthusiastic and excited about our nest.
It's like watching our baby grow hee hee
Downloaded a free link to do a 3-D sketching for our interior.
There's so much things to learn!
Fun!!
