Taiwan. hiak hiak.
Initially, I didn't feel much about it when I was booking the flight and hotel.. I just want to get away from work before my course starts (a good reason to shop) but after reading more n more forum postings and raves from my friend for Jiu Fen.. I am so so excited.
Who isn't? when you hear that shops in Xi Men Ting will remain open till 10 plus at night and stalls in Shih Lin bustle with action even past midnight? My mum is one ultimate shopping queen as well..Reali mai tu liao. Still in the midst of planning the itinerary, and after that shall be the long list of MUST-BUYs
Came across this on Kenny Sia's webbie, this is just too interesting to ignore. I tried it for fun.
My Heritage used a face recognition technology to scan and match celebrity’s faces to your pictures. Tried alot of different photos, some mine, some darren's and some of my friends ^_^
Got some really strange output too.

SIMI?? Why everybody look like someone so prettie, I must look like some small eye, mushroom head...GUY SOME MORE.. argghh
This is totally OUT OF POINT.
(and I'm supposed to look 70% LIKE HIM? -_-)

Yeah.. obviously the system is created by some ang-mo who only knows that Jacky Cheung and Andy Lau are 2 chinese guys.
Uploaded one of my nicer looking pawtoes and it turned out...that I resemble Song Hye-kyo for 72%

But then.. she looks real ah lian here.. *tsk
Conclusion.. after playing with it for a while..I realized Song Hye-Kyo (宋惠桥) has quite a common face.
She appears most frequently in all the matches I’ve tried with my friends and all.

Darren looks like Song Hye-Kyo for 60% too. keke
Think the face shape do bear slight resemblance or am I imagining it? -_-
At least it is not something as bad as mine.
Amongst others, here is another interesting match.
Beckham himself.

Tried to test the system whether it will show beckham's photo
Instead what I got was.. he looks more like Michael Owen than himself in this pawtoe.
Both cute guys nah.. so never mind.
*better than me*

I just confirmed on my taiwan trip. It was a rather last minute decision although I have been saying that I wish to visit for quite some time. My colleague reminded me that I should take a break before my course starts in May... and after that, I will have to juggle between work and study, projects and EXAMS ONLY =( I wont have time to go travel during that one year period so it's best that I go now.
So.. I took a peek at the calender and my schedule and decided yesterday that end of April is the time to go, so I made my reservations on SQ yesterday! jetstar asia is only $60 bucks cheaper per person so well..

Usually i will plan and see, plan and check and PLAN more before I book but I just dont know what got into me, the thought of not travelling for a year made me so sian.
oh ya.. i'm going with my mum.
Mum visited taiwan previously but I guess I will bring her to some other interesting places in Taipei.
Darren, i'm not abandoning you either.. we shall go japan next year. =D
I foresee bankruptcy coming.

Went to MOS for the FHM ger next door competition and was greeted by a queue.
Yeah we have to queue cos almost everybody is VIP -_-
The gurls were really HOT (male models hotter!) and seriously looked better in real person than on the invites.
We had a great night until peimin's bag was stolen. =(
It really affected our mood... cos it could have been any of our bags as we all left it on the table!! Okay.. we should have left them in the locker, I know.. but there's supposed to be someone taking care of our bags. And maybe all the commotion when we were dragged on stage at the last minute (dont noe wat for lah.. sit there, look prettie) created the chance for him to snatch one away.. Are they so in need of cash? I doubt so..
Those compulsive thievessss.... that ENJOY the kick of stealing other people’s things. BEWARE!!
Okay back to the event...
There was this really cute male model. There were 4 of them actually and everybody went googoo gaga when they striped to their swimming trunks on stage but this particular botak head is coolzzz.

He got this bad-boi charm in him. Yah.. gurls just adore bad boys.

i guess it's her hair..
They had the usual, bikini parade… with nice bods..

Q&A sessions (not very interesting...by that time our legs were almost on the verge of breaking.. ),
It goes like this :
Question : A lawyer, doctor and army, which one is the toughest to be ?
Answer : Lawyer. Cos he need to talk.
-_-

I think she looks real sexy here...
*****
i lurve PMS-free days.
I know this was released 2 months back but I still want to show off my new lip palette bought just now~

~yummy colours liven up my mood~
I'm going to cut hair tomorrow!

with work.
I'm just not my usual self. Always feel that work is just you know, WORK. Enjoying life after working hours is so much more important to me. Of course I want to do something else besides what I do now.. Maybe I should be patient and complete my course first.
But I no longer can put a smile on my face when I am there. Is that a signal that I should do something about it?
Or maybe I should just snap out of whining and moaning about this and that and accept the current situation.
When are my goods arriving?! Arggghh. I need something to stay out of focus.
FHM ger-next-door finals tomorow at MOS~ so looking forward to eye-candy performances and girls of course.

and my house is full of mosquitoes.
And WORSE, they are ALL FEEDING on my blood!
I dont have much to suck already okay, you flying blood suckers.
Apparently.. the long kang near my flat was clogged with steamboat soup and a foul smell is coming from there. One unethical steamboat restaurant actually threw all their waste in the long kang just outside their restaurant.
EeekS! with that smell, who wants to go in and eat!?
Not very sure whether that is the source of mosquitoes, maybe it's just the weather.
Weekend was plain boring for me. Watched alot of TV and thinking of changing my blogskin. You noticed the colour has changed?!
YESH! to a lighter shade of pink -_-
My loot! Bought a army printed jacket last week with slight victorian style. eh.. I associate lace as victorian style. Bought a ribbon at bras basah to team with the jacket..

Looking for a black lace ribbon.. hmmm...

Went shopping yesterday and bought a pair of bermudas for weekend wear.
I'm looking for berms that are something like dat for quite some time..

and I got it yesterday! It's not really worth the price but haizz, I just succumbed to temptation.

Had dinner with the sfc gang at Manhatten Fish Market. Think most of us ate there for the 1st time. Their grilled platter is really good and their butter rice is great except for that irritating fly that kept disturbing the far end of our group.
And of course we ate Calamaris.

Although fish n co's calamaris are bigger, they can be a tad too hard to chew. I still prefer MFM's calamaris~ smaller, taste better.. it's not soggy wat, which was the reviews I read in flowerpod. I was still rather worried that the food will be very bad, but it's kinda okay I feel. Of course Balcony's calamari is totally different. It's more like onion rings? Those are nice too. =)

Quite some time since our last dinner... Maybe we can play combat skirmish the next time or like what ivan suggested, rent a car and go his house in kota tinggi so that ppm can take pictures with his flowers. hee hee
We got everybody in the PAPAYA Frenzy~
I really craved for it so maybe I thought it will be nice to go for a light, cool desert.
And the guy at the shop was so nice to give us a discount as well..
We were chatting away and suddenly Josh asked about an actor on Channel U. Then fulong said Josh had a slight resemblance of Lee Can Sheng, a hk actor. I find the name familiar but I couldnt put a face to it and they were saying things like.. "bu xiang la... "
So I checked out the net to find who is Lee Can Sheng 李灿深.
For those who doesnt know who is 李灿深 THIS is erhem lee can sheng..

& this is Josh..

Hmm... Any Resemblance?
oh yah.. and Winston achieved his ultimate 1st of drinking liang teh at Boat Quay. You dont get this kind of photos everyday so remember the day you spent the least (only 2 bucks) at Boat Quay for a drink.
We were taking pictures with mobile phones and sending them around via bluetooth. I must just praise the technology here a little. I didnt use to realize blue tooth is THAT great until yesterday.

Zen n Ivan striking a couple pose. =D
Another couple here.. Astor n Stef! They ate yoshiden apple n the papaya. For the apple, you can even finish up the "bowl" that contained the dessert, how cute.

we all looked so tired after a heavy meal.
And jeff got us something all the way from India.. =) Thanx dude

Elephants from india

Arn't those herd of elephants adorable?
I took one of the them..
Cos i have a medium one....

and a ULTRA BIG ONE at home!

Went to MOS, had fun although I left before the bewitching hour which is 1am for me. I even saw Sly (singahpor idol) at the VIP queue when I was walking out. (Yeah, everybody was coming in and I was going home.. how farnie)
My parents want me home earlie, no choice.. so I always have to be a spoilsport.
They will say things like pi bao bu yao luan luan fang lah...yada yada..Dont come back too late. They WILL wait for me to come back before going to sleep and stare at me while I walked across the living room. I knew that cos my sis ignored that curfew timing in the past and came back to face scoldings/quarrels/slamming of doors.
I dont want that.
Yesh.. & I know they are just being concerned so I make sure I do as I promised.
Even if I am out with Darren, they will ask me not to take taxi home alone late at night cos it's "dangerous".
Than how I get home!?!
*scratch head*
Saw a JC schoolmate who was winston's friend. Can remember his face cos I think one of my guy classmate was in the same sports group with him. He was like saying..
"yeah.. Time flies. It's been 10 years"
My first reaction was FWAT!? where got 10 years? Sounds like so 想当年 dat kinda thing.
BUT it's really almost 10 years ler lor..
-_-
can you all stop reminding me? bleeahhh
I'm craving for Yoshiden Papaya.. Can we eat that later? keke

Received an email today...
Looks kinda interesting.
Anybody game for it ?*raises brows*
Combat Skirmish is akin to playing a real-life combat simulation game (think “Counterstrike”).
Some call it Laser Skirmish, others Laser Tag, and we call ours Combat Skirmish.

Originating from Australia in 1998 and now found in over 20 countries across the globe, Combat Skirmish Singapore was incorporated to bring this exciting game to our sunny island providing an alternative sport for both children and adults. Combat Skirmish is an innovative, team-focused sport akin to playing a real-life a combat simulation game (think along the lines of computer games like “Counterstrike” or "Battlefield 1942"). You will be running around, dodging your opponents’ fire, and shooting them down, as well as achieving team objectives and missions.
Though often associated with the word "laser", Combat Skirmish equipment do not emit any laser beams. The use of the word 'laser' is simply a marketing term. All Combat Skirmish guns are powered by harmless infrared light via an infrared emitting diode, which is similar to your hi-fi and TV remote control technology, and are not harmful to humans. Our equipment are battery-operated and there are no physical projectiles involved.
Pricing
Our normal charge for fun games session, for 2 missions (approx. 1 hour) is S$25 per head on weekdays(Mon to Thu, excluding eves of public holidays and public holidays), and S$28 per head on weekends(Fri, Sat, Sun & Eves of public holidays). Additional missions at $12 per pax per mission.
For Full Time Students, our rates for fun games are S$22 per head on weekdays(Mon to Thu, excluding eves of public holidays and public holidays), and S$25 per head on weekends(Fri, Sat, Sun & Eves of public holidays). Additional missions at $10 per pax per mission.
- Pictures (looks pretty fun eh..) -
Had a department’s welcome dinner for 2 new staff yesterday night at Ma Maison.
Than our manager decided that we shall try to "act young" and go for some プリクラ (neoprint). YESH! he suggested that!
Okay, my last one was like maybe 1/2 a year ago. We look really overage in our office attire amongst the teenage students.
wah lao eh..
it's jin gao act cute
The one with the crown is jen (I added it on for her), i always feel that she looks like Miss Universe whenever I see her.

Felt so much better after taking a nap just now.
~~~~~~~
Saturday
It was my busiest weekend ever.
It was like so hot too. The weather has been really bad this week. And I really couldn’t understand what’s the rational behind ultra cold buildings in Singapore. I can literary FEEL my pores SHRINK when I enter the office building or shopping malls after lunchtime.
And Saturday was the hottest EVER.
Or maybe I am so used to staying in the office shivering beneath my jacket from 1-4pm that I forgot that the weather in Singapore has been like that for last week.
Went down to catch Cleo’s 50 most eligible bachelors at Heeren. I was still thinking to myself how can spinelli hold 50 bachelors and their fans on a Saturday afternoon. But it turned out to be only 6 there. They were distributing Cleo’s signature flower and some kopi to the bystanders to sort of advertise for their event? Or rope in more votes? The biggest winner is definitely Spinelli who maybe saw a soar of at least 50% of their sales on Saturday.
Jeffrey (winston’s friend) was one of them. Only met him on a couple of occasions and only exchanged a few words each time…don’t really know him personally but I thought we can just drop by and give him a little moral support.
So that’s him on stage.
After watching some games played and interviews of the bachelors, Darren and I went off to do some grocery shopping~ Not exactly grocery but he needed to get some toiletries to bring to Perth. It was quite fun.. debating which shampoo to get and whether the washing net is big enough. Sometimes, you can make fun out of the trifles of lives too.
Than we made off to Toa payoh cos I was so hungry on the way to his house that I told him “I need to eat at Toa Payoh or else I will faint” that kinda thing. We saw a crowd near the MRT station and being the typical
It’s so darn hot and yet he has to wear a suit and appear very cool about it while so many auntie, unkers and children crowd around them wanting to just catch a glimpse of him.
It ain’t easy money at all.
We watched Hitch on dvd.....
and played kindergarten teacher to his cute niece. (she’s so clever!) She’s not kindergarten age but going nursery next year. Think she’s hanging around me too much cos she kept saying
“Auntie 我要拍照”
-_-
She knows the English and Mandarin version of most of the picture cards we shown her. Children her age are at a learning stage, she gets curious about almost everything and she tends to repeat what I say...SOoo I have to be REAL careful when I talk to her.
There was a time she climbed on me and pressed my chest so hard that I said "Don’t press me so hard, Auntie de ne ne hui tong" in a joking manner. What I didn’t expect was, she got down, ran around the living room shouting at the top of her voice "auntie de *** ***, auntie de *** ***".
Dig a hole for me.. man
We took pictures.. just for fun. I only have one expression when I take photos, but he has loads.. Farnie and Fugly ones. hahahha
He's back to Perth and rather busy finding a new house now.
I guess 3 months will fly past even before I know it.
Although not from the Balcony, these were enough to cure my cravings..
Just caught the movie Big Momma 2.. It's really farnie and I really lurve to watch a crappy show to end off my crappy week.
Darren will be leaving on Sunday for the nth time...and at last his vacation job has ended. *phew* So we have all the time in the world this weekend to catch a movie or two and some nice supper at Bukit Timah area as well.
Just the two of us...
and the Roti Prata of course =D
~~~~~~~~~
Yesterday one of my guy colleague was asking in the pantry about the budget that he should allocate for a proposal ring. Some of the gals shared their experiences and theirs were like 8,000 to 10,000 sing dollars hor..
GOSH~
Heard that the Japanese even have a formula for that.
Budget for proposal ring = 3 x monthly salary
That means if your salary is 3k, you make sure you get a 9k diamond ring even before you get near that girl's doorstep.
Well done~ *clap clap clap*
Everything can be so expensive there. Even their 2 pcs of onigiri sushi rice sold in convenience store, Rice only hor..not very big piece horr..no liao one horrr.. except for that pathetic seaweed covering those sticky stuff will cost you about 3 bucks.
To the guys : Aren't you glad that you are not living in Japan?

These few nights, I spent the entire evening and night searching information on this particular item.
And YOU are right, it's makeup AGAIN.
I am so darn tempted to get this!
Albion Exage Moisture Chiffon AI

It was first introduced on nv ren wo zui da (YESH, AGAIN!)
It was termed the pai pai fen and it's so popular that it was sold out in Japan.

I checked on many japan and taiwan forums yesterday. It's more suitable for drier skins and very good for winter. Maybe it's not really suitable for oily skin, but combination skin should be quite alright I guess.

Photos from Fashion Guide
You just need to pai pai pai lightly and you will have nice coverage all over.
700 odd Japanese gals' reviews on Cosme.net cant be too wrong.
I read through 5 pages of that dou gey and concluded that it offers light coverage, suitable for combination to dry skin (for ladies more prone to dry side), smooth, conceals well, doesn’t cake up.
I believe dis item was so hot in Japan and Taiwan cos their weather is not as humid as ours. But Albion is introducing Summer Chiffon foundation end of March in Japan.
As its name says, Summer Chiffon will be great to use in humid weather with better oil controlling properties , maybe more suitable for us, the poor fellas near the equator.
A check on flowerpod's 女人我最大thread...podders tell me that it isnt available in Singapore.
=( SADzzzz
A check on Cozycot, some say otherwise and they managed to find the shop that is distributing this range! Hooray for me!! Booo for my pocket!!
A call on that number yesterday and some enquiries told me that it's sold for $79 or $89 (i didnt really catch her clearly on the phone) in Singapore.
I'm patiently waiting for my RMK to finish....
(not sure whether I can wait that long)
