I don't know what to say..
I thought the Grand Prix is just you know.. noisy car racing but i was absolutely wrong. The atmosphere, the deafening sound of 20 cars roaring to go (your hair just stands) and the party mood is really excellent! They just won another fan, ME, Me, ME!! how i wish i can go for the japan grand prix.. i bet the girls will be super chio.
i will not trade anything for this. The feeling of hearing 20 cars at the starting point, that feeling.. it was really a night to remember
Thanks to HONDA once again! lurve you! muaks muaks muaks! although your driver dropped out of the race as the car stalled, but my honda jazz is still the best car. (i can't afford a Ferrari, can i?)
and I praise our government for bringing this wonderful entertainment to our doorstep, the great facilities, friendly volunteers and most important of all. It showcased the best of singapore to the whole world. The tracks were really well done!
We didnt see any big shots there... hmmm... is Fiona Xie a big shot? we saw her after the race though.
We went for Saturday and Sunday races. Reached the race grounds at about 3 plus on Saturday and boy was it HOT! as in the WEATHER. We were lucky enough to have the shuttle bus right at our doorstep at Kallang MRT station to take us to Gate 1.
It was a farrrrrrrrrrr walk from the place we alighted to GATE 1. faintz. One thing to improve, please stop the shuttle nearer to the gates please or have sheltered walkway. =)

on the shuttle bus

our lanyards!

finally reached gate 1.. still some distance to walk to the pit suite
Another point to improve, i think that the Singtel Grid Girls' skirts were abit too long too. Maybe can alter a little shorter hee hee hee (i sound like a bian tai ah pek)
Our location was at the center of the Pits where the start and finish line were. The view was great with the Flyer as the backdrop.
Photos now!

Kopi at cut throat prices

the lift to our suite

The food wasnt so nice on Saturday but the menu was great on Sunday.
Chili Crab
Cod Fish
Lobster Salad! to name just a few
Saturday was just some supporting races and the qualifying. Because of these tickets, i actually did some homework and read up about F1 so that I will know who's who over there and wont appear so ignorant. My favourite is Hamilton cos he's really suave and very friendly and waves to the audience. ha!
if it comes to singapore again, i will definitely watch it again. Now i only can satisfy myself by waiting for the Grand Prix in Japan on Oct 12, on TV of course.
We decided to walk around in the walkabout area before the qualifying.

Poor cameraman in the cage

i bet he wrote that himself hahaha

our dinner~

the open air platforms on top of the suites
sunday
Although the sky was grey but everybody at the circuit was high. There were a lot more people and a lot of supermodels with giraffe legs, but nobody i knew.

like the gal in leopard print. she's so pretty! and tall! and that leopard print top is actually a bareback top. chioz

they presented the chilli crab without the pincers. The food was so good that i had 2 servings of everything =p

we had a quick dinner as we wanted to chope the best seats out at the outdoor balcony. It's really a pity that i do not have a better camera to take the cars. They look really beautiful under the floodlights.

Took a lot of videos but this was the scene that i will never forget. The sound of 20 engines lining up waiting to go was amazing.
