10 reasons to be glad that you are pregnant

Passed the 32 week mark! Hurray! and bb is almost 2 kg. So happy these 2 days as it's a small achievement and I feel so motivated to carry on. Nevertheless, to keep up the positive thinking, i listed the following 10 reasons..

1. Daily talks and sing-along sessions with hubby to baby and feel the love blossoming inside you

2. Your ahem cup increases *YAY!*... along with other things:(

3. Feeling the fluttering, strong kicks and somersaults of your little darling

4. Buying oh-so-pretty wall decals and cute curtains for the baby's room!
*this will have to wait till I pop*



5. Looking at the ultrasound scans and hubby smiling sweetly at you saying "isn't our darling cute?" while other people make neither head nor tail on what was shown in it.

6. The only time when hubby is happy when you say you want to go shopping so that he can look at baby's stuff

7. Doing prenatal exercise squats and breathing practices with hubby

8. Getting leg and back massages with no questions asked

9.Request for any kind of food from anywhere!
*i'm not so mean lah, this only happens when i am bed resting*

the delicious food that was tabao-ed back home




Last but not least...

10. 4 months of maternity leave! and 6 days of childcare leave a year! Praise the Singapore government! But I seriously think that the last 2 months of maternity leave should be shared with hubbies so that they can have some rest and be part of the growing up process of the little one too!

Reno updates..

our Chengal wood balcony is up! With some plants, hope it will have a resort feel





will be putting some plants at the planter box so decided not to cover it up.


there's a stain though... :{ have to feedback to the id..

black mirrors of our feature wall are up too. Very simple design but we both love it loads hee

We are left with... cleaning up the house and yard windows!

It's exactly 1 month since I am hospitalized!

So happy that I have survived this far, more to go!
The weather is getting really hot, or is it because I am carrying another person inside me? hee hee

been toying the thought of changing this blog skin (cos i have seriously nothing to do at home, cant walk around so just nua in front of the laptop. Havnt started on my scrapbooking yet cos i ordered some supplies online and still waiting for it to arrive.

But we more or less decided on the name of our baby!!!

He will be called...........


Skyler Gan

We found the name Skyler in a free baby names book given by... erhem.. a particular milk powder brand which I forgot! ahhah and a search online reveals the meaning of Skyler as scholar. We thought it was pretty unique so decided on it! But we won't put it in his birth certificate in case in the future he wants to call himself Sky, or Rock or Rain or watever hahhaha

P.S. Actually Dar wants to call him SYLAR (yeah the psychopathic killer in the HEROES series, he thinks he is very cute in the show although he's a killer =__=), But mama don't allow!

Skyler's blog revamped! One more thing done. yay! =D

Thanks for all the encouragement!
Now getting really used to the "house arrest"
our home is almost done! and the new shopping center at Tampines is opened!
It's like there are so much things happening but i couldnt go out and participate in all of these. But it's okay, i still have my right hand man to take pictures for me to admire my new house all day hee.

So we are left with chengal wood for our balcony and platform for the bay windows before all furniture can be in.

Originally, we planned to move in April, but now it is impossible with my condition like this. We will only move in after I deliver and after wawa's first month. Hopefully in July!

Bedrest Day 22

I'm discharged finally! but still i have to rest at home, it will be something like what i did in hospital only that my house is more comfortable and i can see Darren when i wake up every morning.

It's not easy.
i think it will take someone who went through the same thing to understand my situations. Maybe friends, especially colleagues wont understand, they may think "wah.. so good, i want to sleep oso cannot", or they are maybe tied down with other stresses of life. But i'm not having a holiday you know, being confined to 4 walls and not only that, most of the time lying down on the bed is NOT a holiday. I rather not have this holiday. I rather go to work, shop and walk! but few can understand the boredom, and not just that, you feel helpless when you need people to fetch you things. I have 2 colleagues who were on bed rest. One on bedrest over 2 months, the other one still undergoing bedrest now. I think only they can really understand....

yeah.. everything is for the baby but sometimes haiz... dont know how to describe but have to force myself to keep my spirits up. But i am lucky enough that my mum doesnt work so i have somebody at home to talk to throughout the day. But today mum actually said i am very troublesome. It hurt a little cos i do not want to be in this condition as well and seriously, it is really troublesome. I guess it's really stressful for everybody too, even Darren I guess.

I realized there's alot of people suffering from this too. Put on bedrest during pregnancy. I guess people are more vulnerable now and maybe i should start a BEDREST SUPPORT GROUP to help people keep their sanity.

So what did I do today.

i read alot of bedrest guide online.
i blogged

think i will start scrapbooking next week. Looking at my baby's photos gives me more strength :)

16 days in hospital..

bb doing fine, gaining weight too. but i have to stay another week bah, just to be on the safe side and buy more time for bb to grow bigger. :)
