Black Sunday
It was a tragedy. So many thousands of people died while frolicking at the beach.All sandy beaches were destroyed..My heart goes out to them after seeing all the images on TV. Scores of dead children pictures.. I kept thinking that while I was nicely tucked in my bed, there were people out there searching for their missing friends and relatives. I cant help much but if there is any organization that needs donation, I would gladly help. Why is there no system to inform the people about the tsunami? Authorities always act only when something major happens.sigh..This just proves one thing, anything could happen to anybody.Even the Thai king lost his grandson. I will not worry anymore about whether I will have enough money for retirement. Think enjoy what I have is more important.
I'm kinda worried too. I have a friend who is doing volunteer work in India now but he didnt say which part he is in. I hope he is alright.
I was planning a trip to Phuket in January during the Hari Raya Haji holidays.. I dont think I will be able to go there anymore. Phi Phi island is almost destroyed and Patong Beach too. It will take some time to rebuild the hotels and beaches. An earthquake at sea is more devastating than anything else.
It can kill across oceans.

I went idol chasing on Saturday
I went gaga crazy and went idol chasing with my bf on Saturday. Guess who that is?
It's Luo Zhi Xiang (Pig)! haha. I didnt paticularly LOVED him or what. My bf was kinda interested to see him in real person and I wanted to test my olympus 10x zoom so.. we went!!
There were a lot of people in bishan. I managed to take a few pics but with the shoving around, some were not clear. When I took a clear pic, he was turning sideways talking to the DJ. (Darn!)
I took video of his dance as well. So many hands blocking my view using handphone camera to take his pics..Will find a way to upload here hee. This is the clearest pic I have.. okie I know. This one is his background of the stage. I'm standing very far away okie.. the fans came one day before!
Another much clearer one..still not so good..

Manager gave me black face today.
I really cant recall that he did tell me to photocopy it and pass it to the admin lady before sending.
If he really did, he must have spoken too softly, cos if he did tell me, I wouldnt have forgot. Speak so loud and stare at me like I killed his father.
Come on.. it is just 1 f*&king document can.. you can always ask the other side to fax you 1 copy if you really need it for reference.
And I really cannot recall him saying that. I really dont want to insist that I really didnt hear what he said.
Spoil my mood.

Havnt been sleeping well
Seems like I trouble myself with loads of things.
First was my bonus (I got it yesterday.. think will save it up!)
And now my boss christmas present. Actually he gave me a christmas present last week already. It is quite an expensive pendant that cost 100 bucks.
These few days I havnt been sleeping well. I kept on thinking what should I give him so that it will look presentable and not so cheapskate.
I know he likes red wine and the problem IS.... I KNOW NUTS ABOUT THEM.
I dont know how to appreciate different kinds of red wine not even know which are the nice ones. I dont want to spend too much money but on the other hand, I dont want to look cheepo either.
I wanted to get a red wine I come across (Peter Lehmann Shiraz 2001). Appparently it won several awards but it cost only 33 bucks and I never tasted it before..
Anyway, the thought counts right? hee

Miserable Bonus
I know I should be satisfied even though my bonus is not much. There are people out there who is unemployed without a job. But I just cant help by envying my friend.
Her company (Jap firm under a big corporation starting with 'S') gave their staff 4.2 months of bonus inclusive of AWS (and this, I heard, is her pro rata amount as she has not completed a year!!)
I should have gone to their company man.. Can save a lot of $. I have been reading newspaper articles like "How much do you need to retire". Have been asking myself alot of questions too.
"How much will it cost me to buy a flat?"
"Will I have enough money to last in my old age?"
Maybe people will tell me why think of problems you cant foresee and cant solve? They are right in a certain way, but it will be so much easier if you have money with you...
My previous company and this one gave rather miserable bonus. NO extras.
Sigh...I have no luck at all.

Fie Japan

This is my new necklance from me to me.
A christmas gift to reward myself. Actually their acessories are a little expensive.
Designs are nice but they are not sliver nor sliver plated. They tarnish rather easily if you throw it around.
So folks, if you all are still thinking of what to get for friends/girlfriends, you can go down and take a look. They normally carry limited stocks so
you wont see somebody wearing the same necklace as you. But the damage will be a bit deep on the pocket.
What shall I get for my boss for Christmas? I was thinking of a red wine set or something similar. I need to get it fast.
He gave me a 'S' shaped pendant as christmas gift. Will need to find a chain to match with it.

I had the wierdest dream yesterday
Instead of sleeping soundly throughout the night, I started dreaming and the dream was so vivid that I can even remember when I woke up.
Guess who did I dreamt of?
I dreamt of 5566. I think I must be siao.. I dont really particularly like them or idolize them. Why did I dream of them!?!?
Maybe I have been watching too much variety shows by 5566. hahah.
I dreamt that they were on an island teaching children! (I told you it's weird!) and I went over to visit them. dur!?! (As if I know them personally)
Bought them many food supplies etc..
Chatted with them until i missed my plane.. (Pengz.. cos it is supposed to be a ulu island and only 1 jet goes there)
Than Wang shao wei went with me to rebook again. Than my hp alarm rang and I woke up.
Think I am watching too much of them on TV.
Must be.
Went for the studio photo shoot with linda on saturday at Loyang.(Again!?! yes Again!)Didnt take much pics. I think either I am tired of taking pictures, or I cant pose anymore or my amateur photographer friends are getting tired of me..
I think the latter weighs more..they are getting tired of me.. boo hoo hoo..(hahah..)

National Treasures
Watched National treasures yesterday..I like it very much. My idol is actually Nicholas Cage. Many people might think why I like that near bald man..but since the time from Face Off, I simply fell in love with him ahaha.. His acting skills is real good and his voice is so deep and charming.:) This movie have quite a typical story like hunting treasures and stealing stuff. We have seen too many hollywood replicas already BUT I still like it anyway. The pace is quick and although I dont really understand how they can figure out the clue so easily.. I guess their angmo must be very powerful. hee
I'm going to watch it again on DVD. My bf likes this movie very much too hee hee.

I wonder what is wrong.
Is it not their culture to look at a colleague when you pass by her while going to pantry or toilet.
Some can just look down, look elsewhere and not you and not say hi. I tried to get his eye contact
by looking at him, he still look elsewhere.. piangz.. the other japanese dont behave like dat.
I suspect he doesnt really like me.. or maybe I am too tall..
In future, I will embarress him by saying hi and see how he reacts.. think he will be damn shock. haha

Crazy ideas
Now my CPU is standing vertically on my table on the right and I enjoy some privacy from my colleagues. Then came a crazy idea from one of my bosses to remove her CPU and my CPU and put them on one far end of another table...Than each time you have to switch on the computer or use the CD-rom you have to walk to that table..dur!?!
I wonder what he is thinking about. Do they value efficiency more or privacy more? I know what is his intention of doing that. He wants to "monitor" what we are doing.. oh come on, I still have other ways if I want to laze on the job. And we have been performing quite well I must say. Why do this type of thing? Even the administraters thinks it is inconvenient and strange..
one thing I dont like about Japanese company is that they are rigid, have a lot of rules and always top-down. As long as we finish our work, perform well, why cant we just have some privacy? Over here, we do not have cubicles, some companies have cubicles for every employee. A nice cosy corner.. Over here is open concept. I am quite used to open concept as my previous company this way too but not to the extent you need to 'purposely' prevent us from having our own cosy corner..
I am having a breakout for quite some time. Frustrated. Super big pimple on my right cheek now. plus there is SO MANY smaller ones.Argghh!
