Remember the charity funfair i told u guys about??
It's happening next Sunday!! Last year their fun fair attracted 8000 people and i thought the fun fair thingy is a very good idea. Companies sponsor, employees volunteer and other employees go to the fun fair and enjoy themselves. Heard that they managed to get very big corporations to sponsor as well. And our competitor is Ben and Jerry. hahah cause we are selling potong =__=
but i guess no matter what we sell or how much it is.. it's still in the name of charity.
Mark ur calenders horrrr.. =p

A Day of Food, Fruits, Sales & Great Fun!
A GREAT DAY OF FUN FOR THE FAMILY
Assisi Hospice Charity Fun Day promises to be a fun-filled event with over 100 stalls serving up all kinds of food, fruits and wacky games. Co-organised by City Developments Ltd and City Building Management, this long-awaited event will be held on Sunday, 18 May at St Joseph Institution (SJI) International, 490 Thomson Road, from 10am to 5pm.
SJI International is located next to the SLF & MCYS Buildings or opposite the Singapore Polo Club & Police Academy at Thomson Road.
With the expansion & improvements to our three core services of in-patient care, home care, and day-care centres, we expect a substantial increase in spending to $6 million or more. Revenue, from grateful families of patients, coupled with subventions from government, is expected to be around $2 million. So, a sizeable deficit of $4 million remains to be covered through donations and fund-raising activities such as this. This event aims to raise the much-needed sum of $500,000.
Guest-of-Honour, Patron Ms Ho Ching will grace the event at 11am to meet everyone.
Highlights include participations from Corporates and hotels. In addition, stalls will also be selling new & second-hand items, handicrafts, knick-knacks, potted plants, stationery, books and greeting cards. There will also be stage games for everyone and hourly Lucky Draws.
Admission to Charity Fun Day is free. To purchase items or participate in stall games, however, please obtain the tickets, which are priced at $10 per sheet. Tickets are now available at the hospice and can also be purchased at SJI International on the day of the event, 18 May 2008.
